OUR MISSION

  • To provide exceptional classical Christian education

  • To employ highly qualified Christian educators

  • To create a Christ centered, educationally rich learning environment

STATEMENT OF FAITH

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God.

    (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)

  • We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30)

  • We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of God, His personal return in power and glory. (John 10:33, Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35, Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 7:26, John 2:11, 1 Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9, John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4, Mark 16:19, Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11)

  • We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature; and that we are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace and through faith alone we are saved. (John 3:16-19, John 5:24, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5)

  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost – the saved to the resurrection of life, and the lost to the resurrection of condemnation. (John 5:28-29)

  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28)

  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (Romans 8:13-14, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 5:18)

What is the purpose of education?

While being successful in your vocation is essential, BCS believes education should not only help equip students for the workforce but, more importantly, teach them as Paul instructs: “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” Col. 3:23-24

What type of person do you want your child to become?

The goal of classical Christian education is to teach intellectual skills that equip a student to think critically. BCS works alongside the family by guiding students to train diligently, serve eagerly, and live intentionally for God.

History repeats itself.

Our students focus on three cultures in Western civilization: Hebrews, Romans and Greeks. We believe that these three cultures are the archetype of religion, politics, and philosophy.

Our Vision

We seek to classically educate students to dedicate their lives to God in order to serve their neighbor, country and world for the sake of Christ

EDUCATE

Baldwin Christian School believes that students need to be educated in the way to live and how to think critically.

The goal of today’s education system is to teach students how to pass tests, regurgitate information, and not question why—educating students to memorize information without thinking. BCS instead educates in critical thinking, lateral reasoning, hard work, and how to communicate clearly and persuasively. From the very beginning in Grammar School, BCS students learn to perceive the world in a different way by thinking independently, studying the origin of logic, philosophy, Christianity and recognizing that God is integral in all aspects of their life.

A BCS education also helps students think laterally. A student’s day is categorized into subject-based classes. BCS teachers make clear connections between the Bible and history, history and science, science and logic, logic and modern culture, etc. BCS students are educated in the lifelong process of applying the “tools of learning” in order to become a vital member of the Great Conversation; of which all are called to through scripture.

DEDICATE

“Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” - Col. 3:17

God’s word, as written in the Holy Bible, is the foundation and source of all truth. BCS teaches students that dedicating their life to Jesus is the most important purpose in life. Students learn that this dedication is applied to all aspects of their life: work, education, family, and friendships.

BCS teaches students to dedicate their lives to God recognizing that, as Christians, we are called to love the LORD and our neighbor.

• SERVE •

God shows his love through us by our serving and sacrificing for others.

Serving others is a theme reinforced throughout the school—whether in class, on the playground, or at a community service event. As each student grows in the knowledge of his purpose as a servant of Christ, opportunities arise and teachers guide students to lay aside their own desires and serve their fellow man—whether it’s a classmate who is having a bad day or a parent who needs help at home. Ultimately, a pattern of dying-to-self emerges.

“Baldwin Christian School gave me an insatiable appetite for more knowledge. My education didn’t stop with BCS. That was just the beginning of a lifetime of learning.”
