“The name of the Lord is a strong tower”

April 14, 2008

Reminder: School starts at 8:10am.

Remember to sign and return the students report cards.

Students in the Hamlet Play please are to be at the church by 6:15pm on Friday the 18th, all others should be at the church no later than 6:30.  Please watch for a note to be sent home with the students.  These times may need to be adjusted. Thank you

Ebenezer is planning a garage sale in the spring.  As you begin cleaning out closets, items that are still in good condition may become someone else’s treasure at the Ebenezer garage sale.  Items can be brought to the school or taken to the home of Dana Swanson.  Your support is greatly appreciated.

Spring has sprung and with it the season for mud & muck!  Please remember that ALL students Pre-K through 8th grade are REQUIRED to have two pairs of shoes, one set for inside and one set for outside.  Please remind your child to stay off the carpeted areas with dirty shoes.  This saves wear & tear on our carpets.  Thank you for your cooperation.

The TOY SHED is not available after school.  It needs to remain locked.  There is too much traffic after school for the students to be playing on the parking lot amongst the cars.  The children’s safety is our top concern.  Please remember there is no playground supervision after the bell rings.

The lost & found is filling up again with the changing of the seasons.  Please check the green bin by the upper grade room for any of your student’s missing items.

Information for the Current products fundraiser will be sent home on Monday, March 31.  Please collect the money when you take the orders and turn it in by April 18.  Fifty percent of the profit for everything sold can be applied to tuition or can be given to the school as a donation.  It will be the parent’s choice.  Please contact Jane Raihala with any questions.

The pledge sheets for the Bike Hike will be sent home on Monday, April 7.

The next Parent Teacher Fellowship(PTF) will be Saturday, May 10, from 1:00pm to 3:30pm.  It will be roller-skating at Vision Quest in Menomonie.  The address is N4439  440th  Street and the e-mail address is www.vqfun.com.  The school will need forty people to attend this private party, so please call Dana Swanson at 698-2684 to pre-register.  The cost is $4 per person and this includes admission and skate rental.  For $6 you can also get two slices of pizza and a small pop.  They also offer rentals of blades, scooters, and gear.  For the little children, there is an inflatable castle to  play in.  This outing is for the entire school, Preschool through eighth grades. Last year was great fun and we hope to have a good turnout again this year.  Thank you & God Bless

Noon recess volunteers:  The time is 11:35am to 12:40pm and includes monitoring the lunchroom and watching over the students during recess after lunch. Any questions or if you would like to volunteer, call Mike or Karen Hollabaugh at 796-2659 or email at rntrucker@yahooo.com  (note this is a new address).
