"The name of the Lord is a strong
tower"
Welcome back, B.C.S. students, staff and parents. We hope you had a great summer and look forward to a wonderful year.
Welcome to the McCormick and Van Dyke families. We pray that your experiences at B.C.S. will be a blessing to you. Also, welcome Mrs. Carolyn Martinson, who will teach the 3rd - 5th grades and Miss Becky Schumacher who will be teaching 1st & 2nd grades this year.
School times - Students are not allowed in the building before 7:55am. The bus schedule has changed. The bell will still ring at 8:10am in the morning and we ask that all students be ready to line up for the pledge at this time. Also, in the afternoon the bus will be leaving at 3:05pm. Parents may pick up their children at 3:10pm. If you arrive before this time, please park across the road in the CRC parking lot. Do not park between the fence and the building, because it can be a problem when the bus arrives. Preschool children will be dismissed at 3:00pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Remember to always look for them before driving in the school lot.
Preschool- Welcome back! We will be saying our memory verse on Monday and Tuesday of every week. Parents, please go over the verse with your child during the week. This week- Psalms 118:6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear.
Please remember to have two pairs of shoes to help protect our carpets, to bring in a large box of Kleenex, and return the permission slip(s) and Emergency Information form.
Congratulations to the Haan family on the birth of their new son Benjamin Allen Haan on August 23, 2007. God's blessing to you and your new little one.
Noon recess volunteers: If you would like to spend an occasional lunchtime with your child, consider volunteering for lunch duty. The time is 11:35am to 12:40pm and includes monitoring the lunchroom and watching over the students during recess after lunch. This gives our teachers a nice break, it helps you get to know the other children in school, and is an encouragement to both the teachers and the children. Any questions or if you would like to volunteer, call Mike or Karen Hollabaugh at 796-2659 or email at rntrucker@yahooo.com (note this is a new address).
